Grandma's House DIY Its been a hell of a ride since I started this blog and renovated and moved into Grandma's house back in 2015. I got married, divorced, lost my doggo soul mate, spent two years as a single gal, remodeled everything, threw my back out countless times and found a man who wanted to get on board with me! Around here we really do it all: refinish old furniture, re-purpose old pieces or build it from scratch. Lodi and I have some serious plans for this old farm. For the first time I have a real partner! I can't wait to see what the two of us can do together - this is gonna be so much fun!

    Oh, I love this! Great idea. It looks like the bottom had been a baker's cabinet? I have a smaller one that I sort of use as a photography backdrop (the enamel top is great for staging photos). I've seen the tops hung on the wall and used as magnet/memo boards before.

      @House Of Hawthornes Oh what a good idea for the top of it! I almost kept it but it had enough imperfections etc. that caused rust that I didn't want to have to paint it (or something) to make it good for our kitchen counter top. Its imperfections are very cool otherwise, maybe a memo board in my office or something! I didn't really know if the cabinet had a name, a baker's cabinet makes a lot of sense, thank you!
