My Creative Space, Where This Blogger Creates!

Hi! I've been working on my new "wearhouse" for a while now, where I will be creating and perfecting my craft with the vintage sewing machines. While I had to stop due to the excessive heat here in the southwest, I'm still under construction!
But I would love to share with you my hand made table, made out of new, used and vintage materials, sweat, tears and lots of laughs with my friends Mr D, the muscle, and Mrs K the organizer!
Trying to utilize every space in my two car woman cave, oh no wait, my "fashion wearhouse", it was fun designing this table, tons of storage, I couldn't be happier! I love the vintage industrial chic look, and I love this table!
It was a blast, however, you still require a HARDHAT in certain areas! I will add that I still have nightmares about organizing! lol! Mrs K has taught me so much, that everything I seem to touch now, gets put in the correct place! Friends like this are SO awesome aren't they? Or really really scary!!!!!
If you can stand more pictures, because I went WAY overboard, hit the link below if you dare! Enjoy!

Marilynn Gillespie on Apr 20, 2015Marilynn Blackville, NB I plan on making my craft room this summer and thought I would use a 4" x 8" sheet of oak plywood on top of the bookcases. Now that I see yours, I never thought to use 2 pieces, one on top of the other and yardsticks around the edges, that would work out great for me! This is my first time on Hometalk and I am loving all of the great crafting ideas for us DIYers. I was going to put 11" x11" colored bins in the bookcases, but now that I see yours, I think I will use see through plastic ones, so you can see what you need at a glance, instead of pulling each one out to see what is inside. You have given me some really fantastic ideas for my craftroom. Thank you!!

Marilynn Gillespie on Apr 20, 2015Another thought, you could also put four bookcases back to back (2 against 2) on the long side of the table and push them in towards the center so that you can still sit comfortably at the table to do your work.
