I planted a sunflower seed and it grew higher than my house,got many yellow finches as well to feed on it.

I have a few tall sunflowers, they are so pretty

I planted ten seeds in ten 12 inch pots. My husband is an agronomist sohi So he made up his own fertility treatment and we ended up having to use plastic plumbing pipe to hold the flowers up. They grew to 12 feet 6 inches and our local paper ran a picture and short story about my sunflowers. If I ever try them again it will be planting the seeds into the ground, no more containers!
