Want to reuse my current laminate, but need more and can't find it.

I have a problem. We are redoing our kitchen/dining room, and I love my current laminate floor. I think we can remove and save it, but the new configuration will call for several square feet more than we have. Does anyone have any ideas for borders or a built in rug design that we could incorporate so we have enough to do the area? Although the laminate is only five years old, we can't get it anymore (go figures)
