Introduction: Nature Lover -- Inside & Out -- in Colorado Mountains

Adele Kurtz
by Adele Kurtz
Hi fellow Hometalkers!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the community of DIY enthusiasts. Rich & I own two homes, one in the mountains of Colorado, the other a golf-course vacation rental on the sparkling Spring River in Arkansas.
So glad to have found this connection. Last year at this time I was starting my 2016 To-Do List & You-All helped make it happen.
Our deck was crashed -- now we love it: fixed with new stairs & restained finishing -- blended old into new. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/decks/blending-old-into-new-wood-deck-stairs-19470136
I discovered how 50 shades of Grey would change both homes dramatically. My experiments with painting & reupholstering furniture gave me the courage to tackle cabinets & countertops and more
By summer, our work outdoors gave our property a new identity as a Nature Preserve, and we got the certification to prove it; you can too:
So many more projects, so many more to come.
Staring my new To-Do List & know I'll be inspired by You-All.
Check out my posts & drop me a comment!
THANKS
Adele

A lot of love, a world of difference...
Takes some creativity to transform from WOE to WOW!
Life in the Country can be lovely & peaceful & wondrous -- or NOT!
Living with horses has its downside...
But we fixed it!
Another project I've yet to post on how we worked with cement & wood & Metal to transform our dungeon into a lovely artists studio with funky entry....

      Thanks Hillela.

There's no place like it ;) That's what I like about HomeTalk: Creativity Empowered. We give each other the inspiration to be unique in what we do. We don't all look like cookie-cutter segments from the HG Channel & certain online others... with open floor-plans, white kitchens & design assistance -- gorgeous, but unreal. (No knock to goodies like Chip & Jo.) I like the real-world mashups that reflect individuality -- that's how you make your own wonderland.
