Retro is so fashionable now! I'd play it up. You may only need a bit of paint to coordinate the colors, but it's hard to say without seeing photos.
In earlier years I lived in mobile homes and figure yours has dark, inexpensive paneling. This paints beautifully and makes quite a differenc. Choose a theme and go for it...in my mind I see country industria: looks good, works for men and women. Shop craft stores (hobby lobby is a good one), thrift and second-hand stores, and estate and garage sales. Sounds like a fun adventure to me...wish I could help you!

Gut it out if needed, you will have a blank slate. None of the walls on the inside are load bearing if it is a single wide. Sounds like fun to me. You can make it your own
