I've used wine corks for making knobs for my kitchen furniture: http://obraznicaturi.com/the-easiest-makeover-you-can-have-using-wine-corks/, and also to replace the plastic holder of some glass pan lids: http://obraznicaturi.com/a-wine-cork-and-a-glass-pan-lid-make-a-good-pair/.

wine cork wreath from Pinterest. I made one but I didn't put the smaller one in the middle.
I use wine corks and old picture frames to make large and small trivits. These come in handy when I am at the stove if I want to move a hot pot off the burner. I also use them at the dining room table for hot plates or items I don't want sitting on the table. Paint the frames and hot glue the corks to a board mounted on the back of the picture frame . It really works out very well. Give them as gifts also.
Today's Hometalk e-mail had this posting: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/organize/kitchen/5-cleaver-wine-cork-hacks-27150371?se=fol_new-20170130-1&date=20170130&slg=a72ab3bad5db21631be4cf72e820951d-535901
Drill holes put air Fern in each one. Again check Pinterest, lots of "corky " people there! Lol
Another idea also posted on Hometalk: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/succulents/succulent-corks-27317284?se=fol_new-20170212-1&date=20170212&slg=6d05a36c4e91ba53734684c4e6e35243-535901
Corks are from Wine bottles or champagne? I took mine , cut a base, Used the corks to make initials for our last Italian name and then wrote Villa....."The T---- Villa" and also made Vino......Set them above my cupboards, along with Cucina, Ciao and Amore, here and there. It was A LOT of work and don't have pictures. My kitchen theme is a mixture of Italian and country. I also decorated with grapes and etcl.
If you would try Leah......Good Luck and Happy Valentines!!

I think I saw it on hometalk where someone sliced the corks (I don't know how thin) & glued them up as backsplash & loved it. it has been quite awhile ago since I read about it. Sorry. Good luck !
Besides making the usual cork ball, I glued corks in the shape of a wine bottle onto a canvas! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/diy-cork-wine-bottle-wall-hanging-6959881

Drill a tiny hole and you can place little succulents in them, add a magnet and you have a great gift idea!
