How about making a mosaic on paper and hanging it up, that will have sentimental value and make you smile instead of frown every time you look at the unfinished walls
Think about using some adhesive hooks, such as command hooks, then using some clip drapery rings, you could hang a drop canvas. I bet the teens at your church would have a blast painting the canvas for you.
You could try soaking regular fabric into starch, then hang it like wall paper. When you're done, you simply wash the walls with soap and water. I use to use it in the college dorm. Or just use wrapping paper and thumbtacks or tape.
What about rolls of drawing paper? Have kids draw or paint on them then use small nails or even pins to put it up?
You could also use flat sheets to cover the walls...run a curtain rod through the top edge and let them hang
That could possibly work - we could have the older kids color or decorate since the children using the room are babies. We have to do something though - it's depressing!
It should. It's always a good idea to try a sample somewhere before you commit
I've seen this done (with the sheets). It looks really cool and you have serious damage to the walls. You can also put it up like wall paper but using staples to hold it on the walls instead of paste.
Thank you for the input. I had some reservations about this as well. Stretching sheets or shower curtains seems like the most reasonable choice. Cost effective and no damage to the walls.
