The first step is to turn your old t-shirt into continuous t-shirt yarn (also called tarn)
Cut 8 equal strips of t-shirt yarn that are each 55 inches long.
Holding all eight pieces of t-shirt yarn together make a knot 3 inches from the bottom
Group the 8 strands into 4 groups of 2. Knot each group of 2 strands about 2 inches above the main knot.
Create a second set of knots. This time separate each of the 4 sets into new sets of 2 and tie them together.
Repeat for a third time, returning to the original strand pairing.
Stretch the macrame t-shirt yarn plant holder over your planter and tighten the knots to adjust. Finally, tie all 8 strands together at the top to finish your macrame plant holder.
