I have heard that Kitchen and Bathroom renovations usually make a home more saleable, People like kitchens to be up to date, it is a room people gather in and spend a lot of time in. Bedrooms and living rooms tend to get renovated by the people moving in, to their tastes.
clean clean clean freshen up with paint rid yourself of all small items and clutter wash windows
Clean, get rid of the clutter, purge stuff you don't use. Pack up non essential items. Make the house feel fresh and new.
Declutter,clean,and paint.
The front entrance and door is the first and last thing people see. Also no one wants to see photos of your dead relatives, kid's school projects, or your laundry! Depersonalize the entire house: if it feels like "this is me", get rid of it! Things with patterns, especially bold ones or 'fussy' can be very distracting and too personal taste. Fresh cut lawns, open windows and fresh air along with Potpourri can be a good idea to make the house feel fresh.
De clutter, and remove person items, so they can invision themselves in your home. I've heard baking cookies...which couldn't be a bad thing could it?
Fresh paint on all walls, including the kitchen cabinets and bathroom ones, as well, if necessary. They say the kitchen and the bathrooms sell the house, so if you can afford it,update accordingly, if that's an option.
