Try sprinkling moth balls around your yard, they hate them!
Apply castor oil.
I understand your frustration, but they are doing you a favor by eating insects in the soil. I've used a spray for moles and it works great. Moth balls are toxic to pets and when they melt from rain, etc. they leach into the soil and can be toxic to birds, squirrels, pets, etc.
Invite and support a feral cat colony to your back yard. There was a time I had a couple cats that dotted my yard with dead moles. It was a game for them I guess.
I used mouse traps and peanut butter I caught several meadow Mike's as well as a couple mice !!!!
