The magnet in the knocker has "welded" to the door and seems impossible to remove. I have to paint the door so if the paint is damaged its not a problem.
After cleaning the tracking, try to find a silicone spray in your local hardware store and spray the tracking. This might help the slider to move freely. Also check your slider that it's still seated in the tracks right.
A small nail brush to loosen dirt in tracks. It is best to brush dry and if possible vacuum soon. You can also have wet rag and butter knife or screwdriver after brushing to get the sticky stuff. Lithium grease lubricant works well because it will keep the slides free of dirt.
Try a little WD40.
Also clean from the patio side. That's where bugs and leaves and dirt really build up. With the door closed, clean as far down the track as you can. And don't forget to clean and spray the overhead track. Best wishes 😇
Clean the track with soap and water after it dries spray pam cooking spray on the runner of track And wheels. Works very well. Also stops a squeek on storm doors.
When mine got hard to open I noticed a small bit of the bottom rail was bent in from moving heavy furniture in. I used pliers to straighten the bend and cleaned the rails with vacuum and soap and water. I thought of putting Vaseline in the bottom track but really didn't need it.
Rub Candle Wax in the track or a Bar of soap
Brush or sweep first, then vacuum, then wash as described above. I'd use some WD40 or a similar lube product. Should slide easily. For a new handle, check your local home store or Amazon. Make sure your measure accurately!
Get some silicone spray and apply on track. Amazing, I use on all windows, patio doors, cranks for my windows. any business that sells windows should have it.
You can also put bees wax in the track
