Can you please elaborate as to what you'd like to know? Thank you. :)

Looks like you'll probably need to strip it and re-stain your color of choice and distress it.

You could try chalk paint, do a base color (chalk paint requires no sanding or prep), then let dry, then paint with a gray (they sell all kinds) and sand around edges to give it a distressed look.

I agree, chalkpaint would look fabulous on this table!

What is the best paint stripper for this? I also would like the reclaimed grey wood look

Hello Nicole. I'm sorry I didn't see this until now. Yes, a grey weathered look to this table would be lovely! I'd clean it well, using a product that won't leave a residue. Then, I'd scuff it up a bit with sandpaper, then apply a primer. My favourite primer is Zinsser BIN 123, latex. It will help cover the dark brown and prevent any possible bleeding through. Use a chalk paint, or make one yourself using 1 part Plaster of Paris to 1 part water, mix well, then add 3 parts of latex paint in the colour of your choosing, likely a medium grey.

What I like to do is apply dark colours in 'splotches' all over my piece, knowing that when I distress it later, I want some of this colour to peek through. No need to be neat, just paint some on here, there and/or everywhere. Once dry, paint with the darker grey, then paint on a lighter grey after that first coat is dry. You can get all streaky or paint with a dryer brush than usual, which will leave marks that help the table look aged.

I highly recommend you find a video online, a tutorial, to help you envision what I mean and give you more tips on how to achieve that look. Best of luck and let us know if we can help with anything else! :)

Here are some to get you started... Because your table is already dark wood, i would use some of that to help with the end look of weathered wood.
