I use a old toy chest to store my dogs toys
Check out the basket section at of the craft stores or dollar stores. And keep an eye out for garage sales where you can really score. You should be able to find something in the right size. Try lining it with fabric or just run a coordinating ribbon through the top weave.
I cover boxes with contact paper and use them. The dogs will raid it constantly to get their toys out and they tend to rough them up and boxes are easy to replace. You could easily use just about any kind of plastic, or wood box and decorate them to hold all the toys, just make sure they are available to the dogs, especially the puppy so that they don't reek havoc in the house if they are bored.
Try using a wicker basket, looks good too.
I use a nice looking basket to match my decor.
Pinterest has a lot of cute ideas, many involve wooden crates:

Duck tape comes in many patterns and colours, so fun to decorate an old crate! Size depending of course, but for a few bucks, is done - also waterproof
I picked up a pretty wicker basket for 50 cents at a garage sale.
