Avoid can dog food mushy treats. Bad breath is a warning sign. Brush his teeth regularly (with a soft baby tooth brush) and have them professionally cleaned at least once per year. If you forgo this procedure, your pet will develop serious dental problems and may evidentially lose teeth.
Bad breath may be am sign of a health issue - anything from a bad tooth to cancer so I'd take him to the vet before I tried any remedy that just covers the smell.
Cute pup! I would address with your vet before trying any home remedies. Try brushing his teeth once a week and give him something hard to chew on to clean his back teeth. I personally refuse to have my dogs go under anesthesia for teeth cleaning (especially my 17 year old), so we found a holistic, non anesthesia service that is far less in cost.
I'm with Coni & rawhide chews are everywhere.
Every one has given you wonderful advice. I will add a little Dental check at vet. Then I have a rinse stuff I get at Target or Walmart it's a enzyme the is put in the pets water ,it ok for cats also. I also have a sonic wave tooth brush I use that to brush my dogs teeth with dog tooth past. Or you can start off by putting just a little splash of apple cider vinegar in the dog's water Just a little ACV .This will kill the bacteria that makes that stinky smell. IT also keeps pets urinary track clean ,improves hair, skin and balance's the PH MY Shelties are 13 and 9 years old. Last summer I had both dogs teethe cleaned .My younger dog had a cracked tooth. The bacteria would have invaded that. We would have had a big infected mess. I hope that helps you Grandma Angie
My guess is your dog has some bad teeth and should be seen by the vet. However, if not you can give them baby carrots to chew on and clean his teeth. It is cheap and healthy for them. My dog loves them.
Hello Laetitia; You can purchase Rawhide bones at any store. Wal-Mart has them very cheap. They will help with the dogs teeth.
I also have used the Apple cider vinegar trick that was previously posted.
It will help to improve your dogs breath.
I hope that this helps you!! Good Luck!
I give my Rottie a marrow bone each day. His teeth are as clean and white with no odor to his breath.
Definitely a vet visit is in order, carrots in moderation, they are hard on his digestive system, make your own dog food, the vet will give you the ingredients, it's easier than you think. Careful about the chews, don't buy chews from china.
what's a "hard chewie"?
Apple's are good. There are bones called dream bones, you can get at wal mart made in USA. Also made with sweet potatoes and peanut butter. A little pricey. But they deserve it. I can do without for them to have good things. It's just them and myself and they are my love.🐶
It's his teeth. Brush them every day
charcoal biscuits are a huge help!
Get visit...something is wrong

Auto correct..ugh..VET visit
Have his teeth checked, and if he's not popping every day, the smell is coming from toxins in his digestive tract. See if he'll eat parsley, mix it in his food chopped up, omit the stems. Give the dog 1 Tablespoon, this should solve the problem.
Don't by anything from China, food, toys, coats, nothing. Here's a place online called Yeowoo, I misplaced the tag from my cats toys. Try this spelling. There prices are reasonable and there merchandise is made here.
use flavoured dogy chews from the pet shop eric
I give my dog Greenies at night and dental sticks in the morning.
Your dog also could be suffering indigestion problems.
Here's a website that may help you.
