I have "Widow's Tears" (also called "Monkey Face). They will grow anywhere..shade, sun partial, clay, good soil..anywhere. They are flowers, not shrubs, but will spread.
Try hostas. they have a thin lavender flowers. there are many varieties to chose from. Variegated Larripie may also be a choice.
Hydrangeas like partial sun. But check with a local nursery about what grows good in your area
To get flowers 🌺 You'll have to have some sun. It'd be easy to advise something if you knew exactly how much sun you're getting., how many sunny hours are possible and what type of sun is it morning or afternoon? If it's no sun the list is pretty short but then I'd ask is it north, east, west or southern exposure because then climate comes into play. If you go to a growing nursery they can help you. However, if they are truly going to help you...you'll need to answer those same questions.
Hydrangeas are beautiful and come in many colors- they're a great option!
bleeding hearts, astilbe, hydrangeas, for your area - ask the local nursery
Check with your local agricultural extension Master Gardeners.
Geranium, hosts, impatiants begonia.
Hydrangea love shaded areas or for smaller ones Cyclamen. Hydrangea will grow into a bush and you can cut back to the size you want. Cyclamen will flower for ages then die back and will come up every year
Also hellebores love the shade and there are lots of different ones around
