My old hanging solar lights broke, and unfortunately I couldn't find any I liked, so I decided to see what I had in my trunk of junk and found a treasure. This project cost me absolutely nothing to make as I had everything I needed to create these awesome solar lights.
Started this project by gathering all my material I would need for this project. Which is garden wire a terra cotta tray and my solar lights.
Next step is to cut 8 pieces of wire 15 inches long.
After cutting, take all the pieces in your hand and using a small piece of wire about 2 inches long wrap around one end of wire leaving about an inch from the end.
Next take and spread all of the wire out like a sun shape.
Take your tray and place in the middle. Using a mug place the end joined together inside. This just makes the next step easier.
Now you are going to bring the pieces together at the top and join the same as the bottom. Once joined start to bend wire to shape round.
Next take your solar light this actually was a pool light and has a little hole at the top. Using thin wire attach to light, then attach to top.
Next I took some greenery I had left over from another project and cut off some branches and glued them randomly where I wanted them. Also had some leaves that I added at the bottom.
This is what it should look like.
Here it is finished.I made two to hang on either side of my garden shed. Love how these turned out.
Enjoyed the project?
