Have fun and thanks for asking Hometalk for suggestions :)
I love to use old 12x12 ceramic tiles and drill a hole in each corner or if you choose you can stack side by side and only use on top and sides and even cut for inside to hold boots or shoes by back door or in garage to hold a variety of items or why not take it inside a bedroom and use it as a bookshelf...all kinds of ideas or wallpaper or stamp hand prints of a small child or your pet
Cover in fabric and make cushioned cover--ottoman with storage . Spray paint in fun colors, stack and connect with zip ties , fun organization for the children's room or your craft room . Line them up, attached with zip ties , place a piece of pine or finished cedar on top for a back porch bench that has cubbies for everyone's shoes and boots.
Wire them together for storage cubbies.
PUT BLANKET ON TOP AND USE IT FOR A STOOL.
Stack and use for bookcases, storage...cut heavy duty cardboard to fit the bottom to keep small things from slipping thru openings, send back to the milk company
Give to a college student!!!!most dorm rooms are decorated in 'early milk crate!'
STorage bins for toys or craft materials. I use them upside down as little tables on my patio,
Turn them on their side, lay them side by side, you can use large tie wraps to secure them together. Depending on how many you have you can stack on top of each other . This makes a great storage / organizer for collections of books or old records, children's toys , games , backpacks , shoes etc.. You can stack them up but be sure to secure them to the wall so children don't pull them over on themselves.
