Hi Sue, I recently saw a really cute bird feeder made out of a cup and saucer. You can glue the cup at an angle to the saucer. The hole where you would normally put your finger through can be used instead to put a chain through and hang in a tree. Put the bird seeds on the saucer.
I love glueing the tea cups to the saucers and making planters with African Violets. I think they look so elegant

I have kept a small flowering plant in mine for years now.
you can glue them together and make a candle in the cup or put a plant in it
You can put a handful of sand into a double layer of tightly woven cotton, sew the end shut and put it into the cup, sewn end down. The top of the sand bag should be tight and slightly rounded. Its weight will hold it down-or you can glue it. Then glue the cup to the saucer and use it as a pincushion. Set a small pair of scissors, a thimble or whatever you like on the saucer and give them as gifts.
I just keep mine. I must have a couple hundred cups and saucers. I love the patterns. The cups look nice hung in a row.
Make candles in the cups, or glue the cups to the saucers and sit them outside filled with birdseed for the birds...break them into smaller pieces and use them to mosaic a table or flower pot or other object....lots of fun ideas!
Put a little "stickum" on the bottom of a candle and use them as candle holders.
