Turn Used Candles Into A Spooky Halloween Decor

Want to get creepy on the cheap with your decor this Halloween? You've got to check out this quick, easy, and spooky DIY project! And, bonus, you get to makeover those old candles you have shoved in your drawer.
First off, I found this amazing Spider Web Candelabra so I just had to get it. The candelabra was a must for my Halloween Mantel Decor. I also knew that I did not want to just put some fresh new candles in it. It would be really cool if I could find some fun Halloween themed candles, but when I looked them, they were all very expensive.
So, I got to thinking and came up with this spooktacular idea using old candles. You know those ones you have stuffed in the drawer for future use, but you never use -- candles previously used for dinner parties or another holiday decor. Take those storage hogs out of the drawer and grab your permanent markers.

The process for creating your own Spider Candles is super simple.
What You Need:
- Grab your used candles
- A Permanent Marker ( I used black for the white candles and silver for the purple candles)
How To:
- Draw a spider web at the flame tip of the candle.
- Draw a squiggly line down the candle and draw a black dot at the end. The black dot is your spider body.
- Add eight legs to your spider body.
- Create the look you want by adding more webs and/or spiders.
Using the old, perhaps discolored, candles make for a perfect creepy look. I had one that had a lot of candle wax dripped down the side, awesome. Also, with Halloween, you do not need to have your candles standing perfectly straight. So, if they teeter a bit in the candle holder or have a little curve to them makes it all the more spooky and eerie.
