Normally you just unscrew them, flip them, then screw back in.
Yes they are designed to use ether side........... if they are balanced make sure to do one at a time so don't mess up the balance
The blades are usually connected to the fan motor by metal brackets. These brackets have screws on both ends, one end connecting the brackets to the motor case AND the other end connecting the brackets to the fan blades. Remove the screws on the blade end, turn the blade over and reconnect.
You can even paint each side a different color, if you wish. Just make sure the blades are balanced when you put them back in or your fan will wobble and come loose. Best wishes 😇
