Help with patio

I have a large concrete patio, right outside my back door, very bad shape, broken, peeling, in BAD shape. At doorway threshold, only have two inches of space to come up w something to hide the thing..can't afford new concrete, budget very slim....any suggestions on what I can put over it so I have a decent patio to sit on. I have a beautiful pool, yet I can't look at patio w/out disgust! What cud I lay over it w only a two inch play room that won't interfere w doorway threshold? Pls help, any advise or anyone know of any new products I cud use that are on the market? Please someone help, please, I'm desperate! Unless someone can donate a new formed patio..??? Please help me

You might be able to build a pallet patio over it, using pallet wood. You can get pallets for free from many businesses, here are some ideas:

clean out the space of all debris and get concrete patch to fill it in
For a quick fix until you can have the concrete removed and repoured, how about concrete pavers? They go on sale frequently.

Wrought Iron or Aluminum Railings or Stakes and Wire or Plastic netting.
Perhaps you could use pavers, there are some out there that are only a dollar a piece. You could do it as your budget allows, That is how I did a front seating area last summer. It may take a while, but you will still see a difference as you complete sections at a time.
Power wash it, paint it and stencil designs on it. Even with the cracks it should look awesome!
