Probably, have not given it much thought. I have a queen size, and a lot of pets that sleep with me. When I replace, I am going to a king size.
I know it used to be the full bed, but didn't know they called any mattress standard. Pillows yes!
Most couples prefer a queen or king (especially if one or more partner is over 6 ft tall) most vintage or antique bed frames are "full" size. (this also depends on how many "critters" you have to make room for... we needed a king.. to accommodate the Lab and up to 5 cats at time... don't ask ..)
For me it is. But still this should be a personal comfort standard based upon the amount of space one or two need to sleep tossing and turning. Not to mention the size of the bed room, do you want it to be snug and cozy or generous and spacious, both the bed size, the room size and the mood/ambiance you want/need should be considered to help ensure your sleeping room is actually conducive to for personal sleep needs. Cost wise, Queen size sheets, pillows, cases and covers are priced much lower than King size.
no, a standard is a double.
No a queen-size is a never a standard.
King size beds are what most people prefer ,standard size originally was a full
Yes it is, although I suspect that won't last long, since many people are downsizing.
Many stores in my area no longer carry full/double beds. I have even noticed that some no longer carry the sheets either. When I inquired in 2 bedding stores, they replied that most people do not buy double beds anymore. I was told to buy Queen sheets for a double bed we have.
