Putting a Stamped Image On a LED Candle

You need an LED Candle which I purchased at the Dollar Store. It needs to have a waxy coating on it to put your image on. You also need some tissue paper, stamps and inks. You also will need wax paper and a heating tool.

You will need a candle like the one above. It has to have a waxy coating on the candle.

You will also need some Wax Paper which I purchased at the Dollar store. You will also need some Tissue Paper which I had on hand but you could purchase anywhere.

The first thing you want to do is cut the Tissue Paper to fit your candle. You want it to fit over the candle and not overlap any area's or stick over the top or bottom of the candle. Once you have the piece cut you will lay it on a scrap piece of paper to stamp on.

You will see on your tissue paper there is a shiny side and a dull side. You want to do your stamping on the shiny side. You will pick a stamp to use. I am using the Painted Harvest stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Once your image is completely stamped you will wrap it around your candle and use a piece of wax paper to hold it in place. You want to cut your wax paper long enough so you can use it as a handle in the back of the candle so you do not burn your hands.

This next step you will use your heating tool. You want to hold your wax paper tight around your candle. When using your heating tool I like to wave it all over the candle being careful not to leave it in one spot for too long. You will notice your candle will start getting glossy when the wax starts to melt. Your tissue paper will melt into the candle and disappear.

You will want to let the candle sit for about a minute to cool down. Once cool you will start to peel back the wax paper slowly and it will reveal your stamped image on the candle

This is the candle all done and lit up. These are so simple to do and would make very inexpensive teacher gifts or Christmas presents for the upcoming Holiday season.
