this may sound crazy but it works... draw a chalk line where you see them coming in, they will not walk on the chalk because they can't get it off their legs and feet - I do this at my garage door where they come in and it works unless they find a break in the chalk line or rain has washed it away so I just put more down. I haven't tried it with colored chalk just while
