How to Remove Popcorn Ceilings in 30 Minutes
First of all, it is easy, but you have to remove everything off the floor to another room or to the other half of a room. Cover the floor with cheap plastic. Get a cheap pump up lawn sprayer and use water to spray the ceiling 3' x3' at a time. Let it set for a minute and scrap popcorn off begin careful not to disturb the drywall tape under it. I use a 4" drywall putty knife for this. If you find you did not use enough spray water the first time, respray again. If you used too much the first time use a little less on the next area. I always have some spackling handy to repair any spots that are not smooth before I paint or retexture. If you paint, all flaws will be noticed.
thank you
