Creeping Charlie? You don't like him?
He's a bear to get rid of if that's what we're talking about. Great as a groundcover, but since he's a "creepy crawler weed", the best way to get rid of him is to pull him out. Again and again and again and. . . .
Now is the perfect time of year to attack him. Try a herbicide http://www.bhg.com/gardening/pests/insects-diseases-weeds/how-to-get-rid-of-creeping-charlie/
If I missed the mark on the weed, there is a weed ID link on that page.
I agree with Roxaneg, pull, pull, pull! there is a little know shaped nodule right at or just below the soil level that you can grab and you will get more than just the leaves, that is where the root starts. It is root born, each plant is attached to the next. I have pulled some that were four foot long when I pulled the right direction before they broke off. In the spring put down a good weed and feed and it will slow it down some.
Thanks for the reply and the correction...."creeping charlie. I've tried pulling put at my age.....it's quite difficult.
