I use horticultural oil instead of dish soap it is more effective
Dish soap in a spray bottle usually does it for bugs on plants, yes
Hi Judith. Yes you mix dish soap and water to spray on the plants. 1 quart of water to 1 tsp of soap. Just a few drops does the trick.
A soapy solution with dish soap works on most bugs on many plants.
i use a mixture of dishsoap and epson salts desolved in a spray bottle . spray only in evening or a cool day morning will work best
Vinegar and water.
Water with some dish soap can repel some bugs and kill the larva of others if it is sprayed on the stems, tops and bottoms of leaves, and on the ground surrounding plants. But too much will deprive the leaves from processing sun, water and air and will kill the plant. Best wishes 😇💖
yes. Use Dawn (blue) just a few drops in a spray bottle of water will do the trick. Just don't spray the beneficial bugs, bees, lady bugs, dragon flys etc.
Here's a post that might help https://chascrazycreations.com/keep-pests-out-of-your-garden/
Hi Judith, hope this helps you.
Mix 1 cup of vegetable oil with 1 tablespoon of mild liquid soap. Add 2-8 teaspoons of this mixture to 1 quart of water and spray your plants as above. The oil in this spray smothers the insects, so it is effective on aphids, thrips, mites, and scale.
Letting the soil dry out will help as will those little yellow sticky traps that you place in the pots. Repotting with new soil and cleaning the pots well first will help.
