I decided my purses are too pretty to sit in the closet, so I stuck removable, clear hooks to a blank wall and made a display out of them!. I also use them for my "secret stash" Hidden in plain sight!!
There are hanging storage pieces for your closet that are not too expensive. Look on Amazon, Overstock, E-bay and you might find what you want.
I put plastic grocery bags balled up in mine to keep the shape and put them in a large see-thru container, on a shelf in the closet.
I use suitcases I purchase at resale shops that I can store the purses in and put under our bed. In the summer get them out and restore your winter ones
All my purses live in dust bags made from sheets. Rather than fuss with drawstrings I use hair ties with labels attached to identify the purses as I have a couple dozen. I stuff with clean butcher paper as it is sturdier than tissue paper. They are kept on a shelf in the closet. Used to be on a shelf above the doors in the bedroom and I would have been fine keeping them under the bed but I didn't think of that!
