Ok you can do this! Does not look bad at all. From the photos everything looks to be in decent shape, a good cleaning is all it needs (maybe a coat of paint), and a new door and hardware, unless you want to re use what is on the old door. Measure your current door, height, width and depth and where doorknob is placed. (Generally a standard size, not on my house though . . . .) Now head over to your store of choice and start shopping! Since this door is exposed to the elements, buy the best door and new hardware you can afford. Here are some links to take you through the rest of the steps.

You need a carpenter, then have him put in a metal door. They don't rot, warp or rust.
you do not need a carpenter!!! This is a DIY job with a little knowledge and willingness, as you appear to have, yes you can! I would like to know how that area drains though. It looks very wet-ish all over the area.
it does appear that most of your water is coming from insid the garage. Looking at the damage and comparing inside to outside. I would check, during a heavy rain to see exactly where the water is coming from. If you don’t stop the water or reroute it, the same thing will happen.
Replace the door with a steel door with window panes. But.....you need to also install a storm door, vinyl. The door will come with the brick moulding all around. All you do is take out the old door and put the new one in. I know I make it sound too simple because you will have to make sure it is plumb and level which may require shims. A youtube how to video will help. Good luck. BTW. This takes two people. The reason for a storm door is to protect the steel door because eventually it will happen again if not protected.
Hope has the best advice. Find out where the water came from and fix that first. You could do this by yourself but an extra set of hands will make it a lot easier.
Actually Naomie has the BEST suggestion. You really just need a door not a pre-hung door. The door jamb looks good. Door molding looks like it needs to be replaced. The water is coming in from the outside the garage as the water stains on the stucco shows that. Measure the height and width of the door. The way to get the proper opening door is to open the door, stand in the doorway with your back against the hinge side facing the latch side and look at which way the door is open. Your door opens right so you will need a right hand door. That is the way the hinge slots are cut into the door. I suggest a steel door rather than wood. The links Naomie provided are good but they show how to replace a pre-hung door. All you need to do is to remove the hinge pins from the old door. Start from the bottom up bracing the door. Remove the half hinge off the old door and screw them on to the new door noting you put them on in the proper direction. Now put the new door (you may need some help) into the opening from the inside of the garage and install the hinge pins. Then remove the lockset from the old door and install it on the new door. Check to make sure the door closes properly. Replace the door casing (you can buy precut door molding in a kit) Clean, sand, prime, and paint the door jamb and new molding.
Good advice from William. He sounded like a pro and so go for his advice.
