How can I prevent my "full of yard waste" paper bags from the rain?
I don't have any place to store them once full, inbetween biweekly pick-ups. My yard is large, many bags, and not in a position to fully compost yet. Thanks!!!
Something is amiss here. Dryers are supposed to vent to the exterior of the home. I would look into having that updated to local building code. Using an entertainment system is a great idea! I would paint it to coordinate with the room.
You should route the vent outside. That is too much moisture for indoors. Then apply a few light coats of a good gloss paint.
Address the moisture issue first... see if there is a way to vent your dryer to the outside...you may have to move it to an exterior wall..
HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com should be able to connect you with a reputable contractor or handyman that can help you with this.
the entertainment center is a great idea for storage in a laundry room
I have a shelving system in my laundry room that looks like it was a part of a kitchen as it has a Formica top on it and it has a hutch on top that was added. They took the doors off the lower part and left the entire system open. It was painted white and in the three years we have been in this house I haven't had a problem with the humidity affecting it. We have two fifty gallon garbage cans that we use an RO system to fill for our huge salt water fish tanks, so it stays a bit humid in the laundry room. Our furnace and water heater are also in there.
I would figure out a way to vent, but temporarily you can use a dehumifier, paint with kitchen & bath semi-gloss paint and add a mildewcide to it. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+vent+a+dryer+without+a+vent+to+outside
