It's definitely milkweed & very sought after by butterfly enthusiasts! I've had pretty good luck letting the seed dry on the vine then planting the seed in different areas.
This is tropical milkweed the host plant for the monarch butterfly. While it is a beautiful plant, they are poisonous and invasive. The invasive part is most likely what has led to the monarch being endangered today, imo. I planted between 7-10 plants about 5yrs ago in a butterfly garden. Today, they are coming up all thru my yard. My suggestion would be keep them in a pot or contained in some other way if possible.

Milkweed. The caterpillars just devoured mine. I found cocoons all over. More butterflies to come . Milkweed plant is already recovering . Awesome !
