I have fruit flies and can't get rid of them. I don't even have any food or fruit out.
place bowls of apple cider vinegar around covered with saran wrap.poke holes in the top
The cider vinegar fruit fly trap works wonderfully.
I put the cider vinegar and a small ramkin cover with plastic wrap and perforate plastic seal with a toothpick.

in a narrow neck bottle, combine water, vinegar and a little dish liquid. I've also had luck with dumping half a box of baking soda into a dirty but empty trash can.
Place some apple cider vinegar or a package of yeast, mixed with a little sugar and warm water in a bowl, put plastic wrap over top and puncture a small hole in the top. The flies will find their way in but not their way out.
wash fruits that you don't put in the fridge when you bring them home -- bananas, apples, oranges etc. and you can make FF traps from small ( baby food jars or smaller ) -- Apple cider vinegar, and a hammer/nail to perforate the lid -- you can paint the outside of the jar/lid -- they find it by scent - not sight. Just rinse it out when the vinegar evaporates/gets full of bugs and refill
Fruit flies congregate where there is ripe fruit. When you bring fruit in from the grocery store, wash it and refrigerate it. If you keep it on the counter, check it to make sure it doesn't get overripe. You need to be proactive on this - not fix it after it's already happened.
THANK YOU I give it a try :).
Fill a microwave-safe bowl with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. Microwave the bowl so the mixture becomes even more aromatic. Leave the bowl out uncovered as fruit fly bait. The soap will reduce the surface tension, causing any fruit fly that lands on the surface to drown. Now, if what you have might be drain flies...if that is what you have try this: Boil some water on the stove and pour down your drain several times a day for about a week or Mix 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup of vinegar and then pour the mixture down the drain, leaving it overnight. In the morning, pour boiling hot water down the drain.
If a drain fly infestation lasts longer than 20 days despite different approaches to get rid of them, then it’s time to call a professional exterminator.
