You can use a 4 x 4 piece of wood, drill holes in it for candles and cover it with greenery and some red balls or berries. ANother idea is to use a piece of pool noodle and glue decorative holiday balls of 2 or 3 hues of the same color such as blue or silver or what ever is your favorite colors. Some use all pink but various shades, some like greens but all different shades of the same green , or blue, or silver and white , etc.
There are so many ideas, depends on which room. Here are some:

Buy a red or decorative place mat and lay on the table, place greenery on it...anything you have in your yard that is green, add a few ornaments, an angel, a candle, a bow, whatever you have. I have even used branches from Nandina with red berries this time of the year.
Live holly works well, pine, pine cones, can use bowl, platter...add ornaments of your color choice. You can even spray paint the pine cones
if It’s a year round centerpiece you are looking for, I recently made one with a pretty wire basket which was long and I covered the sides on the inside with moss and then used little succulents in tiny terra-cotta pots that I sunk into styrofoam along the top and covered with more moss. It looks great and my husband wanted to know how I would be able to water them...hahaha.
