Hi Amanda, if you're not planning on using it as a light fitting, what is it you would like to do with it? I've seen these used as really neat plant hangers!

It would really look great with an ivy coming out and even going up some of the wires!
I can see you adding a base and then using it for Valentine's day - people could put in letters/valentines. You could fill it seasonally with different decor - heart bulbs for valentines, flowers for spring & summer, leaves for fall, etc.
Either a miniature garden or a kind of shadow box with special memories in it.
How about using it as a plant hanger with a plant that has long, leafy features? Like a Pothos, Devil's Iivy or a Spider Plant? Lucky you, it's beautiful! You can also spray paint it and use it to hold a candle. Have fun!
Thankyou all for the great ideas. X
Plants! I'd use ferns to hang outdoors.
Use it as a bird cage in a Spring vignette.
Perfect - decorate it for holidays!
