Try rubbing alcohol. Color safe bleach laundry soap. Oxiclean powder worked to get dried blood out when my kid got a bad nosebleed. I use the things I mentioned to get out pet accidents . I think they would probably work for blood too. I would test in a hidden spot before treating the whole stain to make sure these things wouldn't damage your carpet.

Try sponging the area with cold water and keep dabbing to remove most of the stain. A little baking soda in the water may help.
Peroxide is what the vets use on their white coats. I don't know what color your carpet is...try an inconspicuous area. Hope your poor dog is fine now.

i used seltzer water to remove dog blood from car seat, came right out.as does anything red come out with seltzer.....
