The library, any news stand or book Shop or home improvement center sells books and magazines, or the Internet. All you need to do is Google. There are many free plans out there as well. For example: "free plans for garden bench" - here are 3 examples of what popped up:

My husband is currently working on a clipper half hull model (see below) he is at the stage now of giving it a French polish. He got the plans from a Dover book. The finished half hull model shown above was probably the same idea. He watches a lot of You Tube videos and reads a lot of books. He is a self taught sculptor. For other projects he just wings it. You don't say what kind of projects. Furniture? Toys?
