Hi there, a friend of mine has laminate "wood" floors and she was complaining about the build up from her "normal" cleaner and I told her to just use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. She said it took a couple of cleanings but it eventually took all of the old build up right off and her floors look so much better now!
I like vinegar and hot water.
Better watch out water is not laminate friendly unless it's vinyl....trust me I found out the hard way...the floor will swell once that happens you are SOL......
See if these ideas help. Laminate floors were not mean to have wax - sorry you have to go through this.

why is there wax on Laminate?Without saturating the floor try white vinegar and water 50.50 repeat as necessary for the removal. Switch to the Bona cleaning system for Laminate
50/50 vinegar and water, it will take up the wax, but be careful to damp mop, laminate may not be water friendly, I would check with the manufacturer to be sure if yours is water friendly or not. The sales people will steer you for a sale and not have the best product for your purpose.
Vinegar (not apple cider) and water should do the trick. But remember too much liquid will give you a spotty result.
