It depends on how much you want to spend. You can get 4"x4" porcelain tile under 10cents at Lowe's, Home Depot or any hardware store. I think I paid 7cents apiece when I did a project a couple of years ago. This would make the kitchen look bright and clean.
Rose we were looking for an inexpensive update for our kitchen until we are ready to renovate- we painted the cabinets and used this print vinyl from home depot as a backsplash. it is peel and stick, and REMOVABLE, it comes in a few different prints, We used the distressed wood sideways and it looks like shiplap. Hi Pat: I ordered these tiles online. My husband fixed them in place. I also used the same flowered tile in my bay window overlooking the back yard. It was amazingly inexpensive and an easy fix. Good luck! Betsy
