How do you get rid of sink/drain flies?
I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
We have trouble with them too - we bought a plastic owl and mounted it on the top of the house.

I had a wood sided home that the woodpeckers loved. It was an ongoing battle. Evidently we resided with a cement board lap siding. No more woodpeckers! However--our siding was flat so we were able to reside over it.
You can try hanging up some old CDs near the house. The reflection scares the birds away
YYou could use old cds hanging on or by your house as they don't like shiny moving things. Recycling and problem solving in one.
I HAVE NO IDEA.
II never tried the owl trick because I've read the peckers get used to it and pretty much ignore it, same goes for a fake snake. I've tried cd's, Christmas tinsel and banging on the interior wall hoping to scare them. So far they are all fails, if you find a good remedy please let everyone know.
But some long rubber snakes & hang or drape them all around area where he’s pecking. Works every time.
Buy. Not but
I didn't have a problem with them until the county decided to take out the dead trees along the river that goes through my property. I finally ended up buying suet cakes specifically for woodpeckers and placed one as far away from the house as I could get. The cake will be gone in about a week but I only replace it once a month. So far it seems to be enough.
I think the suet cakes makes the best sence and you can easily make your own.
