The best place for it is where it will be convenient but out of the way.... the corner you have it in looks like it is easy to use there... space in front to butter your toast, etc.... but not likely to be bumped into when it is in use or still hot.... I would, however, clean out the area around it... and find a way to get the other stuff up off of the counter... easier to clean up the "crumbs"
Hello. I think it is good where you have it. I have the same shape counter and have mine in that exact spot. Nothing else worked in that spot and the toaster oven didn't look right any where else on the counter.
I would probably keep it right where you have it. It looks like it fit nicely in that corner!
Looks good to me! Is it convenient for you to use?
I din't really have an answer but I understand your problem . I have a countertop microwave that sits on the corner of the "L " up against the wall. My problem is that the door to the microwave opens from the right side of the microwave and my kitchen access to the "L" is from the left. I would give anything to find a microwave that opens from the left. They don't make them.........
This looks like a practical spot, but to be a bit 'creative' try making a 'bridge' of sorts to set it on. Cover it with lightweight crafting tin for heat if you like, stain or paint. Then you can slide tins and trays below it. Another idea, might be to mount it (with proper heat allowance) from the bottom of the wall cabinets.
I have my toaster oven in the corner like yours. It is the best aesthetic place to have it, I've found. I just pull it forward when I use it and push it back to it's original position once done using it. If it's causing a cluttered look for you, try moving the smaller items around it to other places or even cabinets for those less used.
Thank you to everyone who have made suggestions.
The clutter isnt normally here, I ve been away for months and all the odds and sods were put where I would find them.
cheers everyone!
I bought an under the cabinet toaster oven. Mounts under. I think Black and Decker still makes them
It depends on how you use it? While cooking on the stove at the same time or near the fridge to butter & jam the toast. Or near the coffee maker for a quick escape out the door to work."Convenience, Convenience, Convenience!"
The best place is near your silverware and your plates. You need to make everything convenient.
