THAT'S how I store them, also old coffee cans under sinks.
I cut arms off my husband's old long sleeve shirts and tie it together at top then pull bags out at cuff. Hang it on freezer in garage and grab when pulling weeds, cleaning car, or just when need one. Use a magnet hook.
I have 2 of those net hampers from the dollar tree that stand up, one in kitchen next to kitty litter box, and one in garage, otherwise I give my extras to clients who run out.
You can use them for decorative throw pillow stuffing....you'll have them when you need them. :)
