Revive an old piece of furniture (or laptop tray in my case) using a bright colour and a stencil!
I sanded slightly and cleaned the tray.
I then painted my first coat in blue paint.
I then chose a stencil I wanted to use and paint colour. I went for off white/creamy colour and used my stencil brush. With stencil, less is more, so every time I put the brush in paint, I dabbed the excess on the paper towel.
Continue with stencil until the whole tray is covered in the pattern you have selected. Once the tray was dry I sealed the chalk paint using a clear varnish and let it dry.
The clear varnish brought out the beautiful contrast between the two shades.
