With no roof, you are limited to the decorative items you can use. Your porch is approx the size of our back porch which also has no roof. The flags are a permanent fixture on our porch. The trellis behind them usually is planted with morning glories. Lower picture shows a bench that holds plants. You have about 4 more square feet, enough for a chair.
Hi Nancy. You could put smaller pots on each one of the steps going up. Then two bigger planters on each side of the door. You could also put up hooks to hang a few hanging baskets along the porch.
I would place an umbrella table on one side and stretch chicken wire or place a trellis on that end. Plant a climbing plant and enjoy your nook. If there is room on the steps you can place a potted plant on each, if not, use the open end of your porch for a couple weatherproof chairs or rockers and place potted plants around them. If you have empty wall space you can hang floating shelves or a welcome sign.
One of the best things you can do is paint your front door a color such as red, teal, green, etc. to brighten up the space. Add a wreath to the door and some plants and a nice welcome mat.
Hay Bales as seats and table?
pot of flowers on the stairs' wreath for the door, a welcome mat in bright colors,
My pleasure...........
