  • The dollar tree here has small plastic mesh baskets. You could put several in there to separate your goods!

You can use cutlery trays. I have large drawers in my craft room so I used large silverware trays to organize all my craft drawers. I also find small square containers and line them up in drawers and just put everything in it's place. The possibilities are endless!

Hi Kim. I would start by deciding what items you want in the drawers. Then go to the dollar store and buy some little organizer. I did that for my makeup drawer. I have a bin for hair ties, one for mascara & eye liners, and then one for blush, foundation, and eye shadow. For the kitchen I bought utensil organizers. One drawer is all of my knifes then separated by steak knives, small pairing knives, bread knives, and then bigger ones. In another in all of the silverware with soup spoons in one compartment, then butter knives in another, spoons in one , and forks in one. Good Luck!

First you must determine the total amount of drawer space you have and what items you need to place in them. I organize my bedroom drawers by putting what is used the most in the middle drawers and use the top and bottom drawers for items used less often. e.g., top to bottom, underwear, socks/camisoles/slips, t-shirts (one side short sleeve and the other side long sleeve), and slacks/jeans in the bottom. For my kitchen drawers I pulled everything out and laid it on the counter to fit in the drawer. Then I used small bins (cut-down cardboard boxes) to maintain those separations. I then placed the items in drawers again in order of use. By the stove: cooking utensils, knives, hot pads and dishrags, and kitchen towels on the bottom. I was able to dedicate one drawer for eating utensils, which I separated into: butter knives, dinner forks, salad forks, teaspoons, long handle teaspoons in the front and tablespoons, soup spoons and misc in the back.

I save good boxes. Shoe boxes, amazon boxes, Fab Fit Fun boxes, etc. Im Picky about my decor and can’t ever seem to find the right patterns of bins. I like to repurpose boxes I have saved by giving hem a facelift and using them in my dresser to divide my big drawers.

i use pretty small white dessert dishes to divide things in my makeup drawer. It helps brighten underneath the items so they are all easy to see.
