Small Laundry Room With Big Style
Are you struggling with a small laundry space? See how we maximized function and style in this galley-style laundry room.
We maximized light reflecting surfaces (mirror, glass tile backsplash, stainless steel counters) to keep the small windowless room feeling light and bright. The countertop was partially a DIY. We took all the measurements, built the plywood substrate, had a metal fabricator wrap the stainless steel, and did the install ourselves (and saved lots in the process!)
The pull-down faucet and extra deep sink are a must have, in my books. By setting the cabinet back and lower than counter height, the sink doesn't feel crowded at the entryway.
Opposite the laundry machines, we installed wall-to-wall cabinetry plus cabinets on top of the counter. The rod sits in between for air-dry laundry. The mirror is great for checking out your clothes after ironing them.
A frosted door lets light in and the decal is a vintage touch.
