Plastic or Nylon or Metal Plate holders can be purchased cheaply in all sizes.
I collect china and have it all over my house, hung on walls, in cabinets etc. For large plates/platters I use metal hangers from hardware stores. For small pieces, like saucers or bread & butter plates I hot glue on either or looped piece of small rope, or I use a tab from a soda can. Works just fine!
You could also make a small display rack as we did to fit in a narrow space. Problem with this is that it makes a great place to put mail that needs attention!
Plate hangers are cheap & easy to find at Walmart. I even see them at Goodwill sometimes.
TRY COMMAND PRODUCTS. THEY CAN BE EASILY REMOVED AND DON'T LEAVE MARKS ON PAINT.
Metal plate hangers. Walmart has them. Sometimes at church rummage sales.
