1 part dawn, 1 part vinegar and a spray bottle. Heat up the vinegar and pour it in the spray bottle. Then pour in the dawn and shake. Spray it on and let it sit for 30 minutes then wipe off. You may need to scrub
WD 40 and paper towels usually do the trick. And it keeps the soap scum from clinging to the glass for a long time. It helps to keep a shower squeegee on hand and use it every time after you shower.
Hi Barbara, last time I tackled many year old soap scum I ended up having to use a razor blade to scrape it off.
I use a bunch of used fabric softener sheets dipped in vinegar.
Try white vinegar and a magic eraser

EVERYBODY WITH DRIED SOAP SCUM OR WATER SPOTTED SHOWER STALL GLASS LOOKIE LOOKIE HERE >>>
The absoslute only effective way to do this, and I have tried every way is to buy a bar of LAVA hand soap. ((Yes the old school ugly & stupid looking hard green bar soap you poopopy has in his work area sink)) It is very gritty but wont scratch . Trust me , Wet the glass down and take the bar soap and wipe it and rub it all over that glass do a test spot and then wipe it clean with a paper towel or washcloth and you will see before your very eyes Every bit of scum will be gone where u rubbed the lava bar of soap . I've used every product that promised & this is the only thing that works. EVERY PERSON READING THIS NEEDS TO TRY IT ON SCUM COVERED OR HARD WATER stained glass. I flattened and squared off one edge of the bar of lava until it was making full contact with glass and not skipping spots . THIS WILL WORK LIKE NO OTHER ...TRY ON SMALL SPOT IF YOU DOUBT ME
I tackled this problem in a home a friend brought. I used a well-soaked SOS pad and rinsed well after. Looked like new. I use SOS on the outside of my windows to remove mineral deposits, too. If it's kept soapy, it doesn't scratch and does a terrific job.
