clivia
Clivia, gets great big flowers when it blooms. Likes the shade but some sun is ok. Mine have pink and white flowers, like a candy cane.
It is Clivia.
I water the plant once a week with about 2 cups of water. I do not use fertilizer in the soil. I did use potting soil for it when first planted.

Hi again,
The tips browning could be a sign of overwatering OR the presence of certain chemicals in the water. There is a great website I sometimes go to: www.ask.com. You ask your question and the computer finds answers for you within a minute or less. I have used it several times for painting and home projects and the best part...it's freeeeeee. :)
You're welcome. Consumer Reports also has a section on their website for obtaining information about products, etc.
