what size drill bit did you use
Perhaps it wasn't the drill but the drill bit that had the issue. Make sure the bit is for metal and that you have it set in the correct rotation direction. If that isn't the problem set the planter on a piece of wood and pound some nails through. Use the hammer claw to pull them out. The wood is there to keep the planter from bending from the force of the hammer.
All you should need is a strong drill and a bit made for metal. If you go to your local home improvement store, they should be able to help you with what you would need to make drainage holes.
Are you trying to drill drainage holes? One way is to use a heavy hammer and 8 penny nails (the long ones). Turn the container upside down and hammer the nails in, then remove to leave drainage holes. Another way to have drainage in a large container is to fill the bottom with rocks, coal, charcoal (not the fast lighting type, but the cheaper kind), empty plastic water bottles, and small stones. Then add a layer of compost if you can. Cover that with good potting soil and your plants. Then put dried moss or straw between the plants. When you water, do not make the plants float. The container will create its own watering and drainage system if you don’t overwater. ☺️

You may need a drill bit for the type of material you are drilling. Check your hardware store or online for options. Hope this helps
Mix 1 tablespoon of Murphy's Oil Soap into half a gallon of warm water. Apply the solution to a small section of flooring, using a standard mop. Do not overly moisten the mop. Dry the moist section, using a clean towel, before moving on to the next section.
sorry that response was meant for another question asked! I must be tired! But if you ever need to know how to clean unfinished wood floors! HAHAHAHA
Large metal punch n a heavy hammer!
You need a metal drill bit for that job. You will also need to push harder when drilling to make it break through.
If it small enough to put in the freezer, yoh fill it up with water and freeze it then just turn it upside down and use a hammer and a nail. When it's full if ice it doesn't warp
